The fact that the model is based on prototypical graffiti doesn't make it appropriate, on a number of levels.  The irony of the prototype of course is that is was religious expression in the form of vandalism.

Or maybe MTL just wants to make money, and seeing that there isn't a censorship on religious images in this country, they are entitled to make what they want to sell and what they believe will make money. There isn't any sort of "appropriateness" to it, since the company is not forcing the cars on you, but offering them up for you to purchase or not. There isn't any sort of appropriateness to it.

I accept that I am in the very small minority on this issue, and that's fine. But I also can say that it is a path that ESM never will travel.

You are completely within your rights to make or not make products utilizing your company that you see will sell. However, to criticize MTL for producing a car that you object to because it "isn't appropriate" is, well, asinine

I'm done addressing this matter. Points have been made and nothing fruitful will come from continuing to belabor them.

There is nothing like having a perfectly good thread derailed by nonsense and dribble.

Serious time now:  Joe, any chance MTL might start offering some more western hardrock mining structures in N besides the one mine portal you've done?  I know you've done a stamp mill in Z.  There's a real dearth of those sort of things in N relative to the other scales but I have no idea what demand there is (if any besides me).

Yes...great idea!   I am doing three home kits and then will go to a new series...that sounds like a good one frankly.  I am scratchbuilding a cool little rock loader/crusher I found in an old MR featuring the proto back east someplace.  Real home grown feel too it.  Thanks for the idea.

Cheers

Joe

I love how BLW calls the 8-pack a "mini-unit train". Have they seen a real unit train before? Those packs are 1/8th of a real unit train, if even that.
