I did think about doing something like that, better marbling, but for my tastes, it would have been over the top. It would look awesome, but I was going for something more subtle and realistic. I didn't want this to be a flat out novelty car. At quick glance, you would see this car at the end of another train and say, oh, it's a business car...with a Baconrail decal? Cool and OMG it's painted like a bacon strip, instead of OMG LOOK BACON. I like to draw them in with a story.

Like a radio commercial I hear daily, " If it's not bacon you can eat, you don't want it. "

pjm20:  Have to smell better than the Soviet idea of burning dried fish in Siberia.  Engines ran fine on them, and they were easy to hand fire, but couldn't have smelled very good.

Why am I not surprised that Russians would try this?

Actually, in much of Siberia, dried fish was so common that the locals used it for fuel, so they weren't taking anyone's dinner.  They used coal, oil, or wood in other areas, whatever was cheapest and easiest to get.

I have no idea what you're talking about.    We're apparently still posting pictures of stock cars, right?

Better bacon-flavored plastic than the plastic-flavored bacon in some fast food places.  Even worse, some tasted AND chewed like plastic.
