No modeling this week, but I did see this animal on Horseshoe Curve on Thursday, June 04.  It was moving west in NS 11A.  I normally don't take shots of foreign power, but since this engine was discussed here, I couldn't help myself.  Note 11A's leader is an ex Conrail SD60.  Nice to see her on her home rails.  Thanks.

I'm developing the 169' San Francisco Bay ferries built in the mid 1960s. I don't know if they are running today; if not, they were retired recently. Over the years, there were numerous alterations and additions. I'll leave these up to the modeler, as I prefer the sleek lines of the originals.





This has been a fun ship to develop, and is pretty easy to build, although the top deck is a little fiddly. This is the Z scale version. Obviously some trimming and adjusting still to do.

Thanks, Bryan. The bigger ships are selling much better than the small ships and boats. If you look around, there are a lot of small boats available already. I'll look at the Foss tugs, though, since they were a lot of them.

Started laying track on my layout yesterday, finished converting my Bachmann 2-8-0 to an oil burner and Z Scale couplers.

With the N scale convention coming up soon (end of the month) in Sacramento, our club has been meeting every weekend trying to get more done on our NTrak modules. Currently we are just about done converting the module sets (the ones that always get bolted together in the same order to form a complete scene) so the rails will align and not need tracks inserted. Also more and more scenery getting done but only going to show how much more needs to be done. I'll have to try and actually take some pictures tonight...
