Wow, you cut, bent, and painted the world upside down! That must have been quite the work?

First up I thought I recognised it as a scene from the land down under.

Of course it made me feel at home.

It hasn't been soaked yet.  There was no reason to soak prior to testing the fit of the parts.

Ah, Thanks for the clarification!

The customer for this one preferred to install his own rails. There are four tracks. As these were all wood, with massive timbers throughout, my guess is that the rails were spiked directly to the decking. Also, I did not have any Z track around, which would also fit into the grooves. I have plenty of code 40, which would do just fine.

Yes, the track would have been spiked straight to the deck.

I've been working on putting together an Office Car Special for the M&O ..  The F40PH is still incomplete, as is the first CSX office car behind it ..  the shell on these F40s is a pain to get off .. I found a drone in the woods not too long ago, so I thought I would use it to shoot this video ..

Eric "The Payne Train" put on the hurt  and made me weather his reefers using only this brush and only powders! Oh, the humanity!

I use a brush, the chalks, and my fingers, which get really dirty. I always loved playing in the dirt, um dust, umm, chalk.

Your giving me ideas.

This is why I throw the notion out, operating switch stands is a dream facet of my next layout.  Best if I can get someone more technically capable to work out the details before I get the required basement.

Maugher's Auction Saturday. Good amount of N items, Kato and Atlas loco's and tons of MT cars. Due to a lot of HO brass on the docket, one Howard Zane was in attendance.

Five miles away was the Mid Atlantic Narrow Gauge meet. Boy, talk about being left out. Not a single N items for sale. Only N in the place was switches used on a HOn30 module. Did pick up pan pastels.

Spent a good part of Saturday doing a bit of balasting, which is a chore, and planting some growies, which I find enjoyable, on the double track between Ono and Verdemont. Slow progress is finally being made on the "Hill"...

Really haven't felt well enough this week to do anything but last week I messed around a bit - a Monon Airslide is found a ways away from her home rails. An Atlas car that I used CDS dry transfers for....

... another GN hack.... this time a classic vermillion center cup... I removed the cast on hand rails and made wire ones, did some painting and weathered it... just for giggles I put a CPR smoke jack on it as I await going to the store and buying the correct one....

Haven't really felt well enough to tackle anything substantial in a long while but that will come..... :|
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!
