We need a new release of the LL(WKW) ALCo FA locos. Likely never happen, but I'd like some in LIRR schemes.
Had an undec set, but painted it for D&H what if scheme.
Odds not too good some one else would make them, eh?

There are about a million of FA-1's on eBay, I assume you're talking about FA-2's. I agree a re-release would serve the community well. Maybe update it for DCC and cut down on the rivet size.

I do believe the LIRR has FA-2's. They all had no prime mover, just HEP equipment. Used in push-pull operations.

LI 604 - (ex-L&N 314)
LI 606 - (ex-L&N 321)
LI 607 - (ex-WM 303)
LI 608 - (ex-WM 304)
LI 609 - (ex-WM 301)
LI 610 - (ex-WM 302)

A state of the art FA with angled numberboards would be good too. Lots of RRs with some great color schemes.

all the LI Alco power cabs kept their 244s,up-graded to 250 specs by GE
  in North Bergen NJ.
not sure if the EMD Power Cabs kept their 567s or were up-graded to 645s ??
the NHH&TS got an ex-NH unit back and added Traction Motors to get an operating
  unit.
think a few others were saved also.

Not exactly... they were later repowered with a Detroit Diesel at a later date as the 244 prime movers became problematic.

   Jerry,
that may have been after 244/250 Parts became extinct from
1st source suppliers like White Industrial Power,  GE of England,
   MLW,then about 89 from GE-USA after they bought MLW/Bombardier.
the New Haven Cab had a 244/250 in it when they got it.
maybe as the engines failed they were replaced ?
when delivered they were Alco powered for HEP.

Alco 251 parts are still in production:

On the FA2, tired of Walthers "sitting on" this tooling, how about some Western Maryland FA-2s!

Well there certainly seems to be a demand for them, but WKW doesn't seem to interested in N.

last time visiting the ALCO/F-M site they only made parts for 251
  engines,and complete 251+ engines.
the 244H/250 has been OOP since the late 70s or early 80s.
AFAIK MLW never made 244s of any type,Alco supplied the parts to
Dominion Engineering for assembly for MLW.
it may have been White Industrial Power that stopped 244 and 539
  new parts production ?
but not being in the market am not really sure of that.
the New Haven unit/units that went to LI should have been the ones
rebuilt by Alco in the mid-60s with 250 blocks.

Soo Line and GB&W/KGB&W only had FA-1s.
there is 2' of difference between FA-1s and FA-2s.
and with most a 100 HP difference.
