kiwi_bnsf, I agree with Gary good comments. I like to see a slight variation in the cars from one model to another. Paint companies can not always match paint and it depends on where the cars run they will fade differently as well.
Great product as usual Craig.

If I understand you correctly, you would like several different shades of the car within the same run?  IMO are lucky to get multiple road numbers in a single run. I think that expecting different colors is a bit much to ask for the manufacturer.  What I think could be a realistic expectation would be to change the shade of the color in the subsequent runs of the model (along with a new set of road numbers).

Remember not too long ago cars from most manufacturers came with a single road number (even in re-releases).  Micro Trains was one company which would change the road number upon each re-release of the car.  Oh how far we have come from those dark ages of N scale...  :D

Years ago I worked at a LHS.  One day, a couple of customers were having a heated discussion about the correct shade of XYZ Railroads' Boxcar Red. At the other end of the counter, another customer was chuckling to himself, mildy amused at the discussion.  After the two argumentative types left, I asked the other guy why he seemed to enjoy that so much.  He replied that he had once worked in XYZ Railroads' paint shop, and they painted 'em whatever color was in the can - which was usually purchased from the cheapest supplier du jour. The shade of red would vary from supplier to supplier and sometimes from can to can.

But probably not from the factory when new.

Peteski I think you have misunderstood I believe I said from one model to another. No expectation from me for different colour of the same car in a run.
