Not receiving PM notification emails.

Normally I get emailed when I receive PMs. Yesterday I was notified of one PM, but later in the day I got another PM (which showed up on the website) but no email was sent to me. Same today - I had another PM show up on the TRW website but no notification email.

Don't know...there is nothing in the outbound queue so the system doesn't think it needs to send any.  You check junk/spam folders I assume?

I did check the Spam folder. But then, just couple of minutes ago, the email about yesterday's arrived in my Inbox. Maybe the problem is on Yahoo's end.

The last "missing" email arrived just now (for a PM posted this morning). It had to be Yahoo then (or some email relay in between).

There is still something funky going on for me.  The TRW PM emails to my Yahoo email account are still delayed by at least several hours (even over 12 hours).  I also just received a PM notification for a PM which is couple of days old!

I have sent test emails to that email account and they come through in less than a minute.

I don't know if this is your case, Pete, but...

Before I had reverse DNS on my main e-mail server, I had a situation a while ago where Yahoo mail will delay messages from domains they suspect might be spam sources, or are at least domains that no Yahoo e-mail subscriber has sent mail to. If the PM notification is coming from therailwire.net, that's certainly not a domain expecting incoming mail. Bigger send-only sources (like list subscriptions) are probably eventually whitelisted if there are a number of receiving accounts that confirm the mail as not-spam. If Tom has an account on therailwire.net that can receive mail, it might be worth sending a test ping to bear out my quasi-theory.

I haven't seen this problem in the past (i still have the same email address). The messages do not come from theraiwire.net.  Here is a sample header.  It actually shows the multi-day delay (on the sender's end?).
