Quote How close are those New Haven coaches to the Boston and Maine and Maine Central order of 1947?QuotePretty certain the 8600s are unique to the New Haven and its predecessors. The 8600s were largely the Osgood - Bradley (American Flyer) coaches with updated windows (thermapaine like on other lightweight cars) and having corrugation applied. They kept the curved roof and carbody ends of the earlier car as well as the slight curve to the sides, while the B&M and MEC cars were more like what you would find on a corrugated PS car. Here is one that has had some corrugation removed...http://rr-fallenflags.org/steamtown/rpcx3850ggb.jpg

Gotta get the well cars to market first and recoup some of the investment. No X65 this year.
