Yes.  You can reach them through here:

The first run of gons are no longer listed, but I would email them to see if any remain or what dealers may still have stock.  I have a CN and a TH&B, and they are well done.

Does this look like coke?

I glued some coal here and hit it with dullcoat. Once dry, i put some powders on it. Looks like I can use more powder for more grays.

Didn't MTL make a coke load for one of their gon releases a couple of years back?

Yes they did... a very familiar one :)

They also released a Kopper's coke version cast in black...

That's the car I'm working on and the problem I'm tackling. Coke is not tan with black wash.
Anyways, I shaved all that stuff off and glued on some coal. Hit it with dullcoat and powders.

I think I'm done unless there's something I can improve on.

Is that coke container group casting one container short?  Anyone have a photo of the prototype the MTL car was based on (probably from the Morning Sun book)?  The containers are short in the 50' IL car.  It almost appears that the casting would be a snug fit in a true 52' IL gon with an added container.

Nice job though Josh, it looks like the real deal.  Question however — why not just paint the original coke load flat black, and weather it after?

EDIT — Nevermind, I see why up-thread.  Your coke loads are better defined.

The only improvement I would suggest is painting the "top" of the containers black, so that it doesn't look like the coke is sitting on top of sealed containers.

Not the best photo but here are some similar containers...

Edit: Here is the prototype WM car but with different containers...

Yeah, I thought about that, too. There was some below surface interior that gave the inside containers walls some definition that was present on a few on the containers. If I were a thinking man, I'd have painted it flat black before I put on the coal. At this point, though, I think I can define corners and edges.

Also @Missaberoad, that picture brings some additional details to light that I could not see from the scans. You can see more patches and paint outs.
