Having lived in Richmond BC I can say with 100% certainty that if it's not raining right now....

WAIT FOR IT...... IT WILL RAIN.... FOR DAYS ON END........

How's that -17C/0F weather going for you right now Mike? :)  (I was at my son's soccer game in a t-shirt this morning.  Perhaps we should just let this one go...)

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Mark: Congratulations on the wonderful video by the Vancouver Sun. Your layout and the descriptions contained in the piece should help inspire numerous people to have a go at our beloved hobby.

Well done!

Thank you Mike (and all).  Unfortunately they had to edit out the stuff on the social/operations side of the hobby, and the use of new technologies like RPM, etc., that I wished had been included to expose "other"sides of the hobby. But all-in-all they did a fine job.  Bill Inglee, the interviewer, was is a 1/35 armor guy who's grandfather was a fireman on CPR #12 (the Kootenay express) so they were very sympathetic to the subject matter.  Mark Yuen, the young videographer, was really into taking interesting shots..."dope" and "sick" were frequently heard from behind the camera! :)

Now I understand why Vancouver layouts seem to get finished faster- no snow

Between shoveling and snow blowing, I managed to get some ballasting done.

Another great scene LIRR. I really love your modeling and design. The scenes just seem so natural. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Best wishes, Dave

Just finished decaling two G22b cars. Now to watch some Doctor Who and dullcoat in the morning!

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

I finished up Wheeling and Lake Erie #6387 today.  Not the correct style font for the road numbers, but I haven't found anyone doing them in white yet, so these will do for now.

Cheers,
Brian
