I tried to apply the self-adhesive backdrops to the wall and...well...one side curled up and adhered to itself.  So crap.

Then I saw Amazon caries Train Junkies backdrops.  Got this one coming...and yes, this is a photo taken in Colorado this time!

At long last I've started the mountain and tunnel area on the Midland.  Access to hidden track is very important to me, LOL.

The portals will be scale-sized, but the cavernous interior is the result of hard-learned lessons long ago.  Eventually there'll be fascia and access panels to cover the large openings.  I can easily reach in with a Bright Boy or to retrieve something that should be on its wheels but is no longer.

Now working on coloring the rock behind the trestles.  There's an earth color base coat.  Then I add the dark contrast wash to give them depth.  Then come several highlight colors (not yet done).
