Thanks !  We're using the bark rock method on the O scale layout I'm working on also.

Making the last push for scenery work before the Mainline Hobby Open House Layout Tour.  Countdown is on, less than 2 weeks.  I tackled the rest of the "Black Shed", adding an overhead door on the end, and covered loading dock in the center.  Also finished the roof line with some HO brick sheet, that in N scale looks closer to concrete block.  There is also a truck dock that is on the back side of the building.  Might try to knock that out yet.  I also rekitbashed a kitbash.  I had a second Walthers Superior Paper kit and had cut the boiler house in half as a background building before, without the back wall.  So I squared up the back side, funny how it wasn't straight across, cut new back walls out of Evergreen sheet metal siding and now have a skinny boiler house.  Not sure what it will house but there are a ton of buildings at PHG. I ballasted the chemical tracks and covered everything that was brown with gravel.  Will need much more to add to scene, including maze of conveyors and pipings, tanks and at least one or two more buildings.

After the trains came back into the yard, I noticed a gathering at the west end of the yard

Looks a lot like the day Ed, Ben and I were there...

Wow, pulling a post from way back !

Layout is now hooked up and operating using the UR91.  My 2 DT400/402R's work great above, below, out of sight of receiver so no worries.  I have a DT300R though that shows the channel after you plug/unplug and has the radio icon in the left corner but no response.  So I'm guessing that one is shot radio wise ?  It works fine when plugged in.

I ran trains around half the layout this evening.  Pulled cars and dropped at Ag Com, and then went and grabbed a freight that was sitting on the main in Hanover and took that back to Hagerstown.  Hoping to get rest of track cleaned up by the weekend and start putting consists and manifests together for the open house.

I repainted the smoke stacks of the mill and used up rest of my SuperTrees on hand.

That's going to be a nice vista. Are you designing that scene or duplicating the actual topography? Is there a stream or creek that will go on the unfinished side?

The other side is Quarry property so they'll be Stone piles conveyors and various equipment sitting around

Finished foresting the area between track and backdrop this evening.  And gave the quarry a layer of gravel over everything.  Lots of stone piles, conveyors and heavy equipment to put in this area, at some point.

And the NS 510 is prepped and ready to be unloaded during the Mainline Hobby Supply Open House and Layout Tours next weekend.

I wish I could see your progress in person, but I don't think I'll make it to Mainline this year.     :(   Hopefully you'll have enough visitors to make it worthwhile...

I took the opportunity this afternoon after closing up from the open house to shoot a video tour of the layout.  Now you can stitch together all the photos and updates I've posted over the last couple years and know how it all flows.  Please excuse my poor video skills.
