Nightscope Infrared Detection by Boulder Creek Engineering

This topic was recently commented on in a general discussion of detection systems.  My question is: Has anyone used the Boulder Creek Engineering Nightscope Infrared Detection system?  If so, is it reliable?  I'm currently using Circuitron's Opto-Sensors which are 100% reliable if the lighting in the area is satisfactory.  The Infrared Detection system appears to solve the problem of low lighting or even no lighting, but, again, how reliable is it?

Thanks, guys.
