Roca Grain Elevator build

There are a number of photos of this elevator available online.  One on Flickr was sufficient quality to blow up to show the siding used - it is definitely corrugated.  Looks to be narrower than 4'.

I agree Bryan. It looks to me like about 2' wide in that close-up of the office, going by the door dimensions.

Mark, although everyone who builds structures from scratch or components has their own way of doing it, I think we can all agree that structures of this nature should be done as sub-assemblies. Taking into account the painting and other finishing strategies--including weathering--which as a general rule, goes on last.

You could corrugate some aluminum foil .. and glue it on ..

I would find a kit that already has some plastic corrugated, cut thick aluminum foil to 10' scale width and try to attach it .. see what you get .. weathered up it might look pretty good ..

Using the blades for the siding on the elevator is a great idea and has very good results. Keep up the good work.

Silo and Quonset are coming along.  Those are C55 tie ends for the silo brackets.  Much easier than trying to cut consistent parts from scratch!

Where can you get information on the Sillhouette Craft Cutter? What will it do? What kind of skills do you need to provide the art work for it?

I use an ancient copy of Corel Draw, then I export the file as a DFX file to the silhouette software, resize the drawing to the correct dimensions, and press print.

I do have one observation though; the back wall of the office bay window shows too blatantly.  It needs to be cut out, painted black, or some such treatment to make it stand down.
