I think BLMA just lost my flat car money.

I would have liked riveted cars, but I will definitely be purchasing these as well.

That was my position originally, but the reality for me is there a quite a few of these cars on my list, two that are billed to or from Waterloo so I think I'm in for 3-4 cars which is pretty good for a foreign road flat car.

I'm just glad they aren't passing the welded cars off as the riveted cars, which is what the teaser ad implied with '3000' cars for one road.

For anyone who's interested, this is what I have listed.

Bet it is these http://www.railgoat.railfan.net/spcars/byclass/flat/f070-10.htm

Wow, you nailed it.

(And there's an obvious misprint in the graphic, that's got to be F-70-10 not F-7-10.)

Not exactly the same thing, but I just got out my "Today's Northwestern Pacific" video from the early 90s to see if these flat cars show up...

Um, yeah, this will be expensive.

It's slightly amusing that multiple flatcar models are being released in quick succession. I'll pick up an F-70-10 in SP when they are released.  As these prototypically-accurate flatcar models keep appearing, I will unload the various flatcar models currently in hand to keep my fleet ratios intact.

The last time I was up in Humboldt County there were still some of these cars stranded on sidings.

I'd definitely be interested in checking that out if they are still there and I happened to go to that area.

My guess they're permanent fixtures at this point.  The NCR Geeps were still sitting in Eureka yard too.  Since the north end will likely never meet the south end again and all of the interested parties are too poor to haul the cars and locos out for scrap it will likely take an act of dog to make them go away.  I'm surprised the mongrel environmentalist community has not torn them down and taken them out piece by piece, considering they represent the evils of lumbering.

Maybe they have endangered species living in them?  I'll bet bats would find a lot of "caves" in a locomotive.
