If that's the car, I count 1000 in the series.  Far cry from 'over 2500'.

Yep.

Assuming this is the car, it's too bad they didn't just do the F-70-7 if they're so close.  They had some neat variations of that one.

Right, but Red Caboose has already done it in HO and maybe they're concerned about future N releases from them or the rumoured MTL. Or perhaps like the Piggy Packer they want to eventually do this in HO too.

Regardless, IF it is this type of car, they'll get to the 2500 either with a riveted body (-6 and -7) or the welded body (-10 and -12) or by doing both....which is what I said yesterday.

IF, it is this car, I'm happy either way.

If this is to be 60 or 65 feet long then a flat is unlikely especially 2.5K of them . So mill gon could fit the foot print as well as the volume a road might have of them . I guess I now have convinced myself of damn near everything , save tank and c-hop .

SP got a few 65.6 mill gons in 1953 .http://www.trainlife.com/magazines/pages/38/2733/february-2006-page-17

Hmm... could it be a
reefer...?

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

WOT?  Is it Wheels of Time or Waste of Time guessing?

You all do realize that companies are doing this just to generate some buzz around the new release. Not to worry - most new N scale products will be fanatically devoured by the modelers (with or without a buzz).  If not, then all the buzz would not have helped them anyway.

That bluebox with ?????????  is almost certainly flat on my screen - so it could well be the flatcar.   :D

Is that the correct color blue though ? They could have changed the hue just to through us off .

Maybe its finally that PRR P70 coach that he showed several years ago when he ran that survey. i suspect that the length of the black box has little to actually do with the new release.

Well if so that's just wrong , and if so then it might not even be rolling stock . We as expert logical guessers deserve accurately depicted and or expressed hints . Don't mess with our chains is our motto .
