"Its a proven fact that nobody buys pennsy junk."

Probably because the Pennsy folks go for the good stuff...

On the MR site Cody interviewed Atlas at the NTS. Atlas brought out Branchline HO passenger cars in HO. They said diners and others car will come out, but they wanted to start with something simple like "a single window coach" .   Meat and potatoes first please.

All you need is somebody to make a full rounded roofs that will fit the old RR/Atlas and MTL coaches, then change out the 6-wheel trucks for modern 4- wheel.

If it were this easy, us PRR modelers would have done it years ago, but the dimensions of the PRR's commuter coach and a Pullman coach are different, along with a few other tidbits.

I would love to see MTL make stock P70s, no modernized crap that looks awful!

Who was it what called PRR a "third tier road"?

THe first time that I read that, I wondered how PRR could be "third tier" while NYC is "first tier".  Admittedly, I do not know the hobby business, but still, I did wonder.

I would buy a couple of these P-70s.  It would be one of those things where I finally decided to update/improve the MP/Lima cars, actually got started and BA-WHAM-0!!!!  The P-70 and its PBM version suddenly appear!

Hate to be a balloon-popper, but it's unlikely that MTL will offer another passenger car based on a PRR prototype.

I think it was Kato....   If they really said it, it was certainly either a joke or uneducated comment.  But the fact is they must know
what sells since they are selling it.  And Kato has surely infused the market with PRR stuff in recent years (Broadway, GG1, etc).

I really became psyched again about Pennsy after visting the RR Museum of PA last week.   Perhaps the M1's coming next year will
ignite more interest?

No I realize this is a longshot - just tossing out dumb ideas as I lay track! :)

Whoa whoa whoa. Whoa. Whoa.
We already have P70 models. They just need a lot of love. And parts from PRR Parts. The problem is the trucks are sold out.
I worked on a P70R, P70fR, and P70fbR.

That being said, I haven't worked on my P70 project in over a year. Stopped because I didn't have a torture track to figure out body mount couplers and trucks.

No, I said "Ed's Law."
