And regarding your "Pennsy equipment decorated for other roads" statement, Centralia has released accurate models of Pennsy sleepers decorated in the liveries of other roads.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

The question: Why doesn't X make more PRR stuff? has a storied and sorry history on the fora.  It generates lots of heated discussion, no definitive conclusions, and even some banned memberships.   :tommann:

Please direct your question to Kato; if they respond, feel free to share it in a new thread.

Kato's perceived Western bias has been explained satisfactorily.  The upshot is that Kato Japan calls the shots and the market for North American trains in Japan focuses on modern-day Western roads. There's something very appealing to many Japanese modelers of the mythical American West and giant trains running through massive landscapes. Honestly, Pennsy under the wire is probably a little close to home for the Japanese...electrified operations in urban corridors are exactly what they see at home.

After struggling to make an Arnold GG1 actually do something besides sit there and be expensive, Kato's GG1 was an amazing gift to me.  Between the G and the Broadway Kato gets a pass from me with respect to the PRR stuff.

Bryan's right about it being the best time ever to model PRR in N.  I think the only real shortage is in steam, and if BLI actually makes good this year after a decade of promises, then PRR just might end up being the easiest fallen flag class 1 to model in N!

...which means I'll have to get all hipster-douchebag about "I modeled N scale Pennsy before it was easy!"
