Even chucked this down for a pic, but 2 feed mills?

Could you refine the windows on the foreground model, give it the same paint job, run a pipe high over the tracks between the two buildings and call in Plant 2 or Building 2 or something to make it part of a Hinkle complex?
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Well my naked gas station showed up today. So far I changed the front windows and door:

And I refined the roof overhang:

Yea, right, city planning by committee...
Oh, wait, that's how it is done
It could end up looking like a camel...
But Chris is in charge here, so I'm not worried :D

City planning didn't like the original rear gutter

OK more brown along the banks and brown everywhere.

Man this scene is over the top :o the river bank is perfect and the color of the river bed very convincing. What colors did you use? Just needs some scratch built line poles!

"colors" is hard to say. I did use some cerulean blue to start, but add so much to it. And when I feathered the edges I started with a tan and added brown until it matched the real dirt. It was more like a mixing pallet I guess. If I knew more about art I'd be able to mix colors better, funny in school everyone called me an artist  :|

The middle is the muck above mixed with dark green and more brown.

I plan to lay down about 10 coats of Mod Podge and seal that with water based polyurethane. Anyone ever do that before? Any tips?

Why does the Mod Podge require sealing?

I guess it forever stays sticky unless sealed. Sealing it lets you be able to clean it, like a hard shell.

Don't waste your time with ten coats of Modge Podge.  Get some Liquitex "Gloss Gel."  All I used on my lake was one coat.  No sealing.

I used Quick water (mistake) on my lake and to my surprise it stayed tacky as flypaper after several days.   :x

I used two coats of Modge Podge to seal it so it wouldn't be tacky and give a slight rippled surface effect.

Once the Modge Podge dried, it wasn't tacky at all.

Allen, I remember that. I saved the photo back when you did it. I do like that surface texture.

Mod Podge's own site says to seal it:
https://www.plaidonline.com/my-mod-podge-surface-is-still-sticky-after-it-drie/2934/faq.htm

I have some so I will do a test elsewhere to see how it goes. I also have gloss medium gel.
