Looks like an old cattle/stock car with its roof cut off.
No farms, no food. Support your local farmer's market!

Ok, it's been a long time since I posted anything on a forum but I was fooling around with the camera on my iPad so here is a coal dealer I just finished.

I fooled around with a video editor this week and put together something on the CP/GN's Troup Junction.  A few friends of mine and I would like to put together a short article for the LD-SIG on the prototype's interesting operation and how three of us has modeled it...two in HO and myself in N scale.

Have a great weekend!

Hmmm , there must be some sort of bars at the top to convince the sides to stay un-bowed . Thanks .

Still trying to get the layout room in order post flood.  The drywall patching still needs texture, prime, and paint along with install of the vent to allow warm air to circulate around the repaired pipe.  I did take some time to decorate the otherwise blank hallway leading into the layout room.

In addition to adding interest to a blank wall, it sets the tone for entering the layout room.  I'm trying to keep the layout room more like a museum and less like a cluttered basement.  In the first picture the train room is to the left and the wet bar is at your back.

In the second picture I'm standing in the train room shooting out.

The middle two matted pictures at the bottom are proofs from the Great Model Railroads 2014 Paul Dolkos sent me that didn't make the article.  The large steam loco drawing is, of course, a K4.  The little photo is a PRR D16sb 4-4-0 (same class as but not the same road number as PRR 1223 at the Railroad Museum of PA in Strasburg).

Dave,

I like the term, "sets the tone for entering the layout room". It gives one a "prelude" to what lies ahead.....

I love it .. Someone else here is  musical   (prelude  ... sets the tone)  no RR for me this month .... Christmas concerts, a wedding quartet performance  tomorrow, and off to see the Grand Kids  on Sunday.

Merry Christmas to all the Railwire folks who post the pictures that I enjoy,  learn from and occasionally poke  (I intend humorously) in the  rib.

Speaking of tone , a motion detector triggering an off beat five chimer will make the heart beat faster , or stop it in its tracks .
