Tony:  Since you can obviously build good turnouts, maybe a magnifier would help?  If you wear glasses, as I do, they make clip-on magnifiers that are a lot less cumbersome than the Opti-Visor type.  I've been using a pair for years and probably couldn't stay in N scale without them.

I again have a non model train related update.  Hey, that's what I worked on this weekend.  :D

The 1:43 scale 289 Shelby AC Cobra is finally finished!  It took me few months, but it was lots of fun!
Here is one photo. Addtional photos are in my Photobucket album http://s1068.photobucket.com/user/peteski7/library/Cars/289Cobra

Jesus Kim Jong Christ.... that is jaw dropping beautiful! There is nothing. I mean nothing that indicates that is a model. The windshield glass is perfect, the paint flawless The wheels appear to be made of unicorn tears and magic.

Hey Peteski, tell us more about the paintjob on that! Using nail polish is not something I've encountered before.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

I got my workbench set up and it quickly collected a number of household projects that take precedence.   :x   Like the rebuilding of a 1950s Pavoni espresso maker.  Plus I'm knee deep in a class I'm taking.

But I scored a collection of RMC, MM, RMJ, and few other odd magazines back to 1972 for an amazingly inexpensive price at the last Timonium show and have set about scanning the modeling articles from those as PDFs.  They're not particularly well-organized but if anyone needs a specific article and I can find the issue, I'm happy to help out.

Actually, Marks Metalclassics manufactures a N scale version already.

That Shelby model IS beautiful! But that quarter leaning up against it might scuff the paint! :scared: Time to bust out the diaper (as in, get the diaper out....that sounded wrong).

Let me guess.....table after table of old Tyco HO scale cabooses that you swear you've seen at least once before at previous train shows.
