Are those Intermountain cars?

Yessir.  Aside from the ride height they are really nice cars.

How about using re-railer tracks ..

also, think about an auto rack facility for the empty space

That's a good thought. There actually was one in York at one point, but those racks eat up space.

I'm going to need a lot of ARMN reefers to serve the packing house district in Edison, so I've started a program to lower them, add body-mount couplers, and tag & weather them.  Here are the first two (still need to rust the second unit and add a little more weathering all around):

These are the Blair Line graffiti decals, which are ok, but I'm really hankering to try printing my own soon.

Fantastic updates, as always!

BLMA cars.

Gary, nice tag job. Think I've seen your work around my neck of the woods on a few overpasses. :)

Are the cars level in that shot? They look humped towards the middle.

I missed that run and wish BLMA would do another. I need a decent number of those to update my reefer blocks. UPFE isn't as modern as it was when I started my reefer train in 1990.

Pretty sure those are Intermountain cars.  Don't think BLMA has done a 57' ARMN Reefer.

Peter, yes they are Intermountain R-70-20 cars (as noted above).  They have a bunch of roadnames available:

http://www.intermountain-railway.com/n/nreefers.htm

(see the bottom of the page).  They are indeed level, but the photo is probably distorted by my cheap camera lens.  Here are some more close-up shots, mostly of the coupler details:

Ed,
I'd go with a flexi flow.  Great way to add traffic, and good excuse to buy a bunch of covered hoppers and tank cars.  Consider the visual provided by Locust Point for the curvy bits.  You could fill the TT pit with sculptamold and run the terminal tracks right over it.

Can't wait to see the yard back in action.  You might want to clean out and adjust the pen click mechanisms before you get too deep.  They should work, but they might need some tweaking.

Sounds like you need some custom tags done.

I'm listening...   How about a custom "Railwire"  and "a$$hat" tag?   I'm sure others could emerge...

That could be done.
There are two options for this:
1) Artwork is done directly on the car
2) The artwork is done on decal paper.
I have no clue if the latter option is feasible as I don't know if my brother's markers will adhere to decal film/paper.
My brother has been dying to graffiti some cars, but as a 40s-50s modeler that we be anachronistic.

Or, he could do it on good paper and then scan it to print on decal film?

Hmm... I'm available...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

If you could have his artwork cleanly scanned at at least 600 dpi, I could make it into decals (like I did for the ICHABOD tags).  I would imagine the artwork would be done on letter size sheet of paper.  I could re-size it to whatever is needed for N scale cars.  I can't promise to do it right away, but time-allowing, I'm game.

Wow, John, that give me all kinds of ideas...
