Arrrrr copy & paste... "Sharron PA" the plant was in Ohio, Masury, OHYellow X is where I went to kindergarten
Very cool looking and hope they come to n for you guys who need them!Could someone explain the TankTrain concept however - I assume this was done to speed up loading (unloading is usually from the bottom, right???) but it's hard to see what real gains you would have over just moving the cars. The crude trains today seem to have abandoned the concept....
I would be SO in for these in n scale. The concept was that the car sets kept the oil heated and circulated from car to car - I believe to speeed up loading and unloading like you say. These trains were completely awesome to watch & hear in person climbing the Tehachapi grade. You could hear them coming miles away, and they shook the ground as they crawled by, with mid train and rear end helpers.
