New old stock?

Not being a big fan of Walther's generally discontinued offerings, I'm not sure what's still in production and what's not.

That being said, last night I stopped in to a local hobby store that appears to be on its last legs.  In the N scale aisle, he has Medusa Cement, the Walthers Grain Elevator, the Brach's candy building, Hardwood Furniture, and George Roberts printing and a few others.  All appear to be at below current market, at least as it relates to ebay.  I picked up the Roberts building for $32, the most expensive of the lot.

Are any of these rare birds?  If you're looking for an older Walthers kit, let me know, and I'll see if I can score it for you.  Don't even think about on-line ordering, this guy is totally old school, literally a garage behind his house.

The only caveat is you'll need to accept that each package has about a 2' layer of nicotine on it.
He's got a bunch of other stuff there, too... Peco c80 turnouts for about $12 ea, some Life Like PA's and FA's, Atlas Classic RSs and lots of MDC boxcar kits.

Given the health of the owner, I'm guessing if someone went in there and made an offer on the whole shebang, he would take it.

The one I wish they'd bring back is the Vulcan Mfg Co.  They invariably top 3 figures each time they show up on the 'bay.

Does he have any vehicle?

Old GHQ and Showcase?
I am looking for the GHQ peterbilt dump truck, wheel loader and backhoe
I am also interested in any modern vehicle by Showcase (Chevy and Kenworth trucks, etc)

Bonus points for finding the NJ International UPS van and Mustangs, anything by MZZ or Marksmetalmodels, Fleischmann and Reitize sets.

No vehicles.  Can't recall if I saw Vulcan or not.  There was a big industrial kit.  I'll have to slip back and see.

No undec freight cars.  Mostly Chessie 50' rib side boxes as I recall.

I noticed a few weeks ago that MBK picked up big stock of all those kits.  The GEO Roberts they have at $30, Medusa $24, grain elevator $30, etc. I picked up some Geo Roberts. I too had been wondering if Walthers found a bunch stuffed in a warehouse corner.

I think it's a new run. I recall reading somewhere a couple months ago that a container was enroute with the Medusa, etc. Got mine 5-6 weeks ago through MBK.

New runs seem to have new blue boxes, whereas an old one would be in yellow for N scale.  I have seen both on LHS shelves.  Just got rid of a Vulcan to a friend cheap so it could have a good home.  Had no idea they were $100 on EBay!

Dream on there, I've been looking for a US distributor for them for a while.  They've got some great farm implements and some neat 60s looking farm and construction tractors I want.

One of the N scale etching start-ups imported one of their VW Beetles. I was hoping they'd expand upon that, but now I can't even remember what company that was.
