I'm not sure how many of you would be interested, but Cosmic has anounced a helix kit in N:
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10196711

It says that its intended for Tomix track, but it looks like it would take any type of flextrack as well.

There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

That's a 16" DIAMETER kit, which means 8" radius curves, and it rises a little over 2 1/8" per turn.
I guess it'd be fine to take your trollies to the next level  :ashat:

I love that it's made of wooden plywood - as opposed to fish-based plywood or plastic plywood . . .

Just to confirm, the "Tomix C177" track mentioned in the Hobby Search / Cosmic ad is 177mm (7 inch) radius.

This sounds more like a roller coaster track than something useful for N-scale model railroad!

Perfect for running these: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10178210

BTW, the machine-translated text on this page is particularly entertaining, sort of a Japanese Monty Python model train skit mash-up.

Ashlin Designs makes a fantastic helix.   It can be custom made for any size.  Here's the one I made.  36" across and 15 inches high, 2% grade 8 revolutions.

Cosmicx, also has Helixes for regular sectional track as well as Unitrack.

It kinda looks like the kit Noch use to have.  One can only tell once they put up better pictures.

I tried to upload a picture of my Helix but this site makes it extremely hard to do so.  On other sites all you have to do is find the photo in your computer and post it.  Is anybody listening?
