But, it's scenes like Supertubine's (above) that make me happy I've chosen to model the U.P.!  EXCELLENT WORK!

Must be somewhere east of Curvo eh? You're back to right-hand running.  Love that FEF-1...

I hafta add...it's scenes like this that would be virtually impossible in a larger scale.  In HO scale, this scene would probably be nearly eight feet deep and 40 feet long.  There's something to be said about putting little trains into big spaces and utilizing 1/160th scale's optimum scenery to track ratio.

Once again...excellent work!

Great picture.....Of course I love the series 128 FEF-2,  I bet few people notice you install the smallest LEDs in the world in those marker lights :D

Isn't Photoshop great? Actually there were no lights on Nate's engine, and just MV lenses in my much-modified Traincat U.P. Cantilever Signal Bridge, which I built especially for this location on Nate's Riverside scene.

Having documented the hell out of U.P.'s D-type signal heads for scratchbuilding them (like on this model), I have several photos of them with lights lit, as well as hundreds of photos of the 844 running up and down Weber and Echo Canyons.  So....I just replicated what I photograph as closely as possible with a little Photoshoppin'.

However, the day is coming soon when markers WILL be lit on several of my in-progress steamers, E's and F's, but with fiber optics doing the light transmission...and I'm looking forward to seeing what the firebox effects look like too! 

Crazy me, I've been thinking about running board lights too...which are very prominent on the prototype 844 and 3985...even during daylight running.  Ahhh...DCC makes it all possible!!
