Is this for US steam only? I could add a few German steamers (stock models) if you are interested.

    I'd say a steamer is a steamer !

My PRR T1

Man, I so want a T1 now: I love that sharknose styling on it.

It sounded like a good idea at the time... too bad the caboose wasn't in on the plan.

:|            ZOX, Having loaded (posted) photos on ths group for along time I know that clicking on the URL in my post brings up the photo. To everyone out there has Picassa changed in some way? I use to be able to go there and cut then paste having checked hide the link and when posted at Railwire just the photo appeared. Now no matter which URL link I cut and paste into my post from Picassa I only get a URL not the photo or a not a photo with the URL like I sometimes got when I screwed up in the past. I haven't noticed a change, but you do need to use the "Embed Image" link.  It's the only one that will work.  And I did have an issue the other day where that box wasn't showing on my screen even though I was logged in.  I had to change all the permission to private and then back to public or whatever.

     YUPPER, we will !
Since I want to strip my De-Skirted T1 for a repaint, we're going to be working together, taking measurements for a master mold to cast resin engine shells & tenders -----------------------  8)
Plans will be to have strong tender drives with good weighted free rolling engines that should pull like mules !
Once we have cast a couple and have them on chassies running, I will paint them so we can show everybody what to expect.

Nate,

What I did in my earlier message, where I was able to embed your picture, was this:
  • I put the URL into the message.
  • I put the characters  "" immediately in front of the URL.
  • I put the characters  "" immediately after the URL.
It's the  and tags that convert it from a "clickable" URL to an embedded picture.

(Please note that I'm actually using images to display the text and , because if I type them in they'll be treated as tags and won't show up!)  :)

Heh... John, believe me, I viewed the T1 as the "Holy Grail' when I made that darn thing.  I thought I was as crazy as a loon for trying.
I'm glad I have it, but I don't think I'd ever do it again, knowing all the work and engineering setbacks it involved.

If superturbine does a shell for the T1, it will be a great service to model railroading (just like all his other ones!)

Now... a Q2...  :scared:
