Let's add some PRR K4's. All engines are PSC K4's. Unfortunately not all of them are ours (although from a money standpoint it may be fortunate). 7 out of 8 have been rebuild and run very well. The 8th one (the one with the disc wheels) will probably be rebuild into a L1.

A rare, but beloved CPR Mogul....

Semi streamline pacific.....w/incorrect stock MP tender

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Not to be out done in the passenger horse power department.  The Union Pacific executive committee decided to bring all FEF’s to Ogden for a promotional pictures.
Note- Unfortunately for my wallet and proof of sanity 95% of the engines are brass.

Jason,

The UP needs a lot of power to outperform a couple of PRR K4's.  :D. But it does look impressive. How many FEF's?

:? I seems totally unnecessary to copy / quote other peoples pictures.  Seems to make the topic confusing and slow to open.

Marc but what about an N Stars special tender drive FEF, which will pull more?  27 FEF's I left a couple in the round house, I noticed them after the shot and did not want to re-stage.

rogergperkins,

I was going to post an image of my B-mann heavy mountain, but I don't have an account with an online picture place.  I painted the blue wires black, removed the coal load from the tender, pulled the wires up inside the tender, and replaced the coal load.  It worked very well and the wires are much less visible.  Have fun, Mark.

Darn Jason, how did you get that pic of all my FEF's ? -----------------------------  :D
I gotta get me more !
Heres another of my favorites, a PBL/Benchmark Brass DM&IR 2-8-8-4 Yellowstone w/caboose --------------  8)

I painted and put in my own iron ore loads in 160 ore cars for this steamer. In these pics I believe I only had close to 120 I put out but she pulls them all with ease !
Sorry, but my four level basement layout hasn't any scenery, just track, cork & wood -------------------  :scared:
Shes running up on forth level.

Does your layout feature an ore dock?

How many FEF were ever made in real life? It sounds like you have all separate numbers.

BTW there is a Challenger or Big Boy with a motorized centipede tender somewhere in Illinois. It pulls more than 100 hoppers. But our PRR E6 4-4-2 pulls more than 120 hoppers upgrade. :)
