Southern's New River Gorge Bridge in TN

Since I had made the bridge for JD Smith from plans only (18ft in HO), it was time to visit the beast in person. So, 26 miles of winding mountain roads west of I-75 soon after entering TN, 2 miles of "where is the road?" and 1 mile of ... mud got me to the bridge itself. Words are hard to come by when standing next to this structure. There was no location in the valley where the entire length of the bridge could be seen. Even if the trees were bare. So I had to get glimpses of it in sections. Still worth it!!

Very much so. Five min after I left, I was cruzing down the road next to the track and a southbound came screaming by me.
