I really like the poles.  They warm up the scenes and I think enhance the realism.  One more step taking us to 90's Wisconsin and out of the basement...

Is CN running this division?  That train's been sitting under that overpass for quite some time.

What about the Roadway truck?

Actually... that brings up a "scene modeling" philosophy my wife and I have stumbled into. While vehicles and people certainly make the scene more believable in photographs, she opines that it does the opposite when viewed live and in person. The trains and sometimes certain scenic items are moving, yet items you would equally expect to move, namely vehicles and people, are static. She says the incongruity is jarring.

So, then, our intent is to have vehicles and people in our scenes, but always in positions that make sense for them to be still, such as parked or waiting at a stop sign, signal or RR crossing, and sitting, lying down or leaning. Vehicles in the middle of the road and bridge (like the Roadway truck) are great for a staged photo, but for operating in real time would be relocated to someplace logical for it to be stationary.

YMMV.

PS - Talking about "making the scene"... I've said it before - your phone line stringing is fantastic. I hope mine can be half as well-executed.

But look! The locomotives made it farther down the line! Wait a tick. If they did that, and the caboose is still under the overpass... oh no...   :o

Added some "Z scale" trees to help try to give the illusion of distance to this scene.

I'm really liking the added trees; would there be cows in the field? A few N scale ones by the train and a few Z scale ones by the barn may also help the illusion

I absolutely agree with his.  I have always thought frozen people and immobile vehicles on roadways detract from the realism of a scene.  Parked vehicles are fine though.  My opinion is that except for staging photographs, people need to be absent from layouts or at least kept to a minimum.

Not only do the lines and poles look great but the forced perspective execution is getting exceptional!   I wanna come run trains STAT!
