Nice to see that cookie cutter roadbed still has some adherents.
First class work from start to finish on display here.

+1. The word that comes to mind is "meticuloous". Very nice indeed.

If Brittain Yard interests you then be on the watch for a new book from Morning Sun due out early 2014 - The AC&Y and ABB by the AC&Y Historical Society. Just this evening I completed the Brittain Yard illustration for the book. It is going to be 153 pages of Akron railroads goodness!

Nice. I have seen some early steam era photos of the yard, before the freeway. And as a kid I knew to already have face against the window when we were about to pass by.

As a kid I spent many a day sitting on the north side of the entrance ramp embankment watching trains in Brittain Yard. What a great view. Sadly, when they redid I-76 recently they rearranged the ramps. The big 270 degree loop ramp was replaced by a straight ramp on the other side of the E. Market St. bridge. My old train spotting site is gone.

I cut all my foam with a jigsaw as well, but I use a smooth leather cutting blade in it. Usually there isn't a single piece of foam debris when I'm done. The only slight problem might be finding a long enough blade for 2" foam.
