With how SMF is set up here, access to profiles will give you the following additional information:

Date Registered
Location
Age
Posts by member
Email in full format if forum is set to it

IP, log in time etc is viewable to admins/mods only regardless of how we set it. Everything else, IM, ICQ, email, website, sex (what your are, not how much you want it), etc are all shown I. The left bar next to the persons name when they post.

For those asking, what else are you looking to get from access so that we can take that into consideration. At least I haven't said "maybe" yet... my youngest daughter and my girlfriend have both figured ou that means "not gonna happen!" Lol

email is never displayed ... to send email, it gets sent through the forum ..

the only info in a members profile that interests me is the list of threads posted by that member (if that is available on this forum) and the date they registered).  Other than that, I don't need to see anything else.

yes .. that info is available as part of the profile

The feature is to ensure no one can sign up and spam the other members.  You can view profiles at 50 or so posts.

I can turn this off if you want emails from new member "penis enlargement pills" 

Question???!!   I'm slightly baffled by this!!  If we grow by one percent for every post made & the magic number is "50".......why then do we need penis enlargement pills?? Seems like the job is already taken care of. ( -:
