N scale truck bolster

With some Tichy wreck trains soon to be on their way to me I have been contemplating I turned my mind to modeling a flatcar with shop trucks on it. The wheelsets and side frame detail on the BLMA 70 ton friction bearing trucks look great, but the bolster hole is terribly out of scale. Can anybody point me to a diagram or dimensions to build a replacement bolster that would be scale in appearance for a flatcar load?

A true-to-scale truck would seem to be a natural for one of the scenic detail companies.  After all, it wouldn't have to WORK, so if the wheels didn't roll it wouldn't matter.
