CPR 2200 Coach Trucks?

Anybody out there (possibly named Puddington) ever put together one of the Gooderham CPR 2200-series coach kits from Central Hobbies? If so, I was wondering what you used for the trucks?

Thanks!

I can't speak for Geoff but I used MT trucks as no one comes close to those trucks that the 2200's rode on.... I'm guesing if Geoff could have cast them he would have because he did so for the CPR combine.....

Ah OK, I figured as much. FWIW, I was talking to Eric Cox (Panamint models) and he said he's game to try setting them up on Shapeways - he just needs some decent pictures to work with.  Fortunately, there are a number of these cars over at the MN Transportation Museum in St. Paul. Now I just need to get over there and take some snapshots.

Cheers,
-Mark

I was looking through the documents library earlier, but I couldn't find any truck diagrams that looked like the 2200 trucks. Do you know what the document is called?

Thanks,
-Mark

Mark:

I could use several pairs of these.  I probably have some close-up photos but I will have to find them.
Give me a few days.

I'm going to try to get over to the Jackson Street Roundhouse today for some pictures. Unfortunately, the MN Transportation Museum website doesn't currently list those ACR (ex-CP) 2200 coaches, so maybe they don't have them anymore. The web pictures I've seen (http://trainweb.org/algoma/excpr_coaches.html) were taken in 2000, so I dunno, we'll see.

Cheers,
-Mark

David:

Well done!  However I think some of us are looking for a part requiring a little less work.

Still looking for photos.

Not the photo I was looking for, but here is a truck under BCOL 6506 (ex-CP 3703):

I have a few friends who may have photos - I will be back.

David, which MT truck did you use? I don't recognize it.

Thanks for the pic, Tim. That's way better than anything I've been able to scrounge up. If you can find a "straight on" shot, that'd be even better.

It rained all day yesterday, so I skipped the trip to the MTM and just sent them an email (not wanting to waste a trip if those cars aren't even there anymore).
