Not counting the faulty pins then, my Atlas 45' trailers are too long? With what appears to be proper space in between the door - end of the trailers, the "noses" still hang a scale foot or two over each end. I can certainly live with that, just wondering if it'll look too wierd? Hey Jim, how 'bout a straight - on side shot?

Well 2 45ft trailers come out to 90ft, plus spacing between the 2 trailers, so we'll say 91ft.  And the car is 89ft long, so its how its supposed to be

The Brown cars (2nd announcement) and Yellow TTX cars (3rd announcement) WERE due with this delivery.  That said, I can only guess we're looking at approximately two months or so before we see them - say mid-summer.

Your patience are appreciated!

Craig, I really can't tell you how awsome these cars are. I am scrambling to detail and lower my MTL cars just to be able to run them in the same train.

Gents (And Ladies if any present)

I'm the guy who has the 24 flats for sale on Trainboard.

To put any speculation to rest, I can safely say that they were purchased legitimately from DCC Train in Cincinnati, and I have my pre-order sales receipt from April 2010 as well as my final sales receipt as proof.

I agree it is a shame that someone would resort to stealing.

Thanks for clearing it up Mike.  I wish I didn't have other things on pre order or I would take at least a dozen from you! They should sell fast.

Mike .. thanks for joining and clearing this point up ..

Certainly.  Another member emailed and gave me a heads up that this discussion was going on.

Hopefully the attached image will support my claim that the 24 I currently have are legit. The invoice clearly shows an order quantity of 24 BLMA 89' flats, as well as a receipt dated back over two years ago to April of 2010 as a deposit on the pre-order, then the final receipt dated last Saturday when the product was shipped to me from DCC Train in Cincinnati.

I would tend to agree that it seems highly coincidental that 24 cars were stolen from a Pittsburgh area shop and around the same general time frame 24 of the same type of cars appear for sale in a Pittsburgh area advertisement.  I know I was certainly shocked when I was informed that I was a potential "suspect".   :o

As I mentioned on the other forum, I simply made a mistake and didn't realize they were too new for my era until after I had ordered and paid for them and I didn't want to stick the shop that I've dealt with for the last several years with them. That didn't seem right to me since it was my error.  So, I'm selling them off to partially fund the yellow (and brown) TTX era-appropriate variants that I now have coming.

Looks good to me!  Modeling 1974, I don't have that problem, but the first time I saw a flat with two 45' trailers I thought it looked a little weird.  Normally loads are expected to stay within the ends of the car...

Can't wait for the other TTX cars...and then additional numbers in the future. I got my Chuck pack today and DAMN these are some nice cars! I can't wait until I have a layout where I can run them again.

Thank goodness!!! I simply would not get the ones I needed if this were true. A "staggering of the eras" is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!! Some of us do not mind the delay!!
