I preordered all eight cars, and they will be arriving Monday according to the USPS.  Interesting thing about the X58's: N scalers now have this boxcar available to us RTR.  Railyard Models just ceased production of the HO scale kits of these cars.  Score one for the N scale modelers for once.  Can't wait for the next batch this summer.

I was surprised during the Springfield show at how many HO-scalers asked for both the X58 and the XIH to be tooled in their scale.  Sorry fellas ... N scale only, 24/7.   8)

Brian,

Thanks for the head's up that you are sold out.  It got me off the fence to place my order before they are gone.  I just ordered 5 cars this morning from BLW (4 PRR and 1 LV) and got confirmation that they were shipped out today.  I'm looking forward to getting them.  It looks like you have raised the bar again with this release.  I'll be interested in comparing these to the G26's and XIH's that I have.

I look forward to more PRR stuff from ESM.  Keep them coming!

Received 3 PRR ones in the mail today.  It's much appreciated that the built and photo date are listed on the bottom of the case.  Love these cars and hoping that your next endeavor is sometime as great.

For those looking for these cars, I found a stash of them at White Rose Hobbies in York, PA. Their website is www.dccinstalled.com. No affiliation between us, just trying to help those (like myself) who didn't pre-order.

Got a Chuck Pak today with one of each, EXQUSITE model Bryan! Will definitely be adding some PC's & Conrails. Microtrains needs to take a close look at this car and learn from it if they ever want to be at the top of the hill again! "ESM, the Roll's Royce of N Scale model trains"!!!!!!!!!!!

As of this hour MBK is showing good stock numbers on the PRR schemes, but almost out of the white LV schemes . . .

Got my three X58s yesterday from FRT, and I agree with everyone else that this is a great looking model. This is the kind of car that makes you make to buy a couple even if you are not modeling the prototype line. It is truly a well designed car that sets a new standard in N scale.

I do have one question for Bryan. What are your thoughts on the roof top grab irons? They look a bit too high for me. Is this what you intended or would you wish they were lower? Sorry if this seems like a nit-picking question.

I look forward to adding more of these cars in the future.

Best wishes, Dave
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
