It's not a Forney like the B&M once had but, I "Americanized" a Kato JNR 2-6-4T this past week and am pleased with the outcome.

Love those Chessie pics  :o , I'm working on creating brush along my mainline I'm using Woodland sceneics poly fiber I spray paint the poly fiber dark gray then add fine green blend ground foam it makes some really realistic brush, I also started building a truss bridge from scratch and assembled a Traincat lines west signal bridge.

I finally got back to modeling after six months!

As I won't be able to finish my whole door layout before I graduate, I decided to make the only somewhat completed scene into separate diorama. In the next few weeks I hope to finish the scene completely and use up all the scenery supply's I have lying around.

I also have Helicon Focus now, and here is the first shot I've processed with it.

The other side of the tunnel. I'll be adding lots of trees and vegetation here.

Caleb

Welcome back, Caleb! And welcome to the world of Helicon Focus. With that great tool, your great modeling is just that much better. Hope you're inclined to stick with it--you've definitely got a massive gift.

Great... I have to follow Caleb.  Seriously nice work there!

This past week, I managed to finish the benchwork for the staging level, which includes my new workbench.

These next photos are actually from last week, but I had a lot to post and decided to push these off one week.  While my dad was in town, we went to visit Kermit Paul's Lone Pine and Tenopah.  It may be Horribly Oversized, but it gave me a chance to run my BLI T1.  Poor thing needs oil.  I don't have a full PRR consist for it to pull, so Kermit let me borrow his LP&T special.

Man, that visit made me wish anew that BLI would get off their butts and bring their line to N Scale.

Wonderful stuff, Caleb!

Hope it's not too bad, Richie. I've had arthroscopy done five times, three left, two right, and the recovery wasn't bad.

But cutting straight across the kneecap--that one must have been pretty bad.

Good to see you back Caleb! It must be the warm weather, because last weekend I got back into modeling as well.
This unit, and it's sister who needs to have the windshield cut from the new cab front, and receive a different headlight mounting, will become LVRC 7804, and 7803 respectively.

Arrived back home today after 6 weeks on vacation across France, England and the USA.

Chased trains across Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and California, so hope to get a railfan report started once things start returning to normal.

I've been working on a couple of NSN Maxi III kits that have been buried on my shelf for a long time.

Due to space limitations scrapping any ideas for even a HCD-sized layout, I started a new small layout this weekend.  Like the last, it is based on the Aberdeen & Rockfish Ry.  The track plan was created by DKS and allowed me to squeeze as much as possible into a small space by using the FastTracks #8 (20"/15" radii) curved turnout template that I had purchased for the HCD layout.  You can follow along in my "Oh No! I'm Having THOSE Kind of Thoughts Again!" thread (http://therailwire.net/forum/index.php/topic,22448.285.html) over in the Layout Engineering Reports Forum.

Have a great week!

I love the Union Station shot!  I will be doing something along the same lines but I won't have as much detail due to space limitations.  Now that I have taken over the entire room that my layout is in, I am planning an expansion that will relocate my round house and add staging tracks.
