Ian,Instead of a true 90° bend, can you place the two 45°s together so that they form a broader 90° angle?
Wouldn't it be valuable to have the ability to flip the direction of the train without having to remove the engines? To me, running trains the same direction all the time would diminish the layout's roundy-roundy potential.
I know....I'm sad...
FWIW, there's a double mainline with two staging yards, so there will be traffic in both directions.

Good. That works better than left. It will be easier to design a corner unit that can be left out for shows.
I'm thinking of leaving it in (that's what she said) for shows t add more interest.Plus I'm just gonna make you change the plan in a week anyway!
