The shot of the drive gives me what I was looking for... it looks like a fairly good place to start for other Atlantic bashes.  I was worried that the boiler weight would be big and boxy like the shell.  It looks similar to the Bachmann style weight, cylindrical, and compact over the drivers.

This will be a popular drive for those with extensive parts bins...

Expect mine to arrive in a couple days and the decoder a day or so afterwards.  Will be nice to have some ready to run, great running steam for a change without doing a hundred modifications.

To be protypically correct when running your HI the cars usually operated with the truck having the geberator on it at the front (facing the front of the train) which it is on the Tap Car which was operated with the Tavern (blank side end) to the front. Only complaint I have some of the box inserts did not have the car number info printed on them and trying to read gold numbars on maroon with an optivisor so I could arrange the cars as illistrated was fun, however the only cars that need to be in correct order are Tip Top Tap at front and Parlor followed of course by the Beaver Tail Parlor as last car. SKYTOP are the decals you used on your tender custom or available somewhere? It really improves the looks. I would buy some if Icould find them. Nate Goodman (Nato). Salt Lake, Utah.

Well unfortunately I'm having more problems.  I took out my set tonight to at least test run it, and I have an issue with the observation car.

The ladder or stirrup doesn't allow the truck to rotate enough to go around the 15" track I setup.  Can anyone compare my pictures to their cars and tell me what might be different?

FYI, in the second shot where you see the ladder twisted a bit, that's how it came and sits normally.  It's not from the truck pushing on it at the time of the picture.

Is the generator on the truck hitting the stirrup? I read somewhere that they can become reversed, putting the generator up against the stirrup. That appears to be the case in the photo.

Jason-

Looks like a passenger car.  You can cut off the stirup and you won't know the difference.   :D

In fact, it will look just like a Kato passenger car with the lack of steps then.  And maybe it will run down on 9-3/4" R curves.

Well I was thinking about offsetting the bolster by a 1/8" to see it that would help.   :P

I tinkered a bit and it looks like it can be massaged a little without fear of breaking.  I don't know if it will stay in place or go back.  I'm still curious about what other cars look like and if this should be seated differently into the floor.

I received mine several weeks ago.  The colors and detail are superb.   The Tunsami 750 medium steam is the appropriate sound decoder and there is an oval rectangular frame speaker that can be screwed into the tender.   The screws are #80 but had to re-thread to accept the screws.  Then adjust the CV's.

When taking the engine out and some of the cars, there were parts either had fallen off or two broken which I repaired.   I then tried to run and it would not run.  It had nothing to do with the install of DCC with sound as it would not run in DC either.   I tried to take the loco apart and it is not easy as I had to carefully take it apart.   One screw overtightened and there is no easy way to get the rods and drivers out.  I had an accident and will need to purchase another engine.   I think there needs to be further discussion on how to do this when it comes time to do the maintenance.

Nate,

Didn't notice your question earlier. Decals are available at streamstylegraphics.com

Skytop, Thanks for the decal information. I ordered two sets for the Class A locomotive and I will be adding the logos to my tender like you have done. Nate Goodman (Nato).
