Having seen a few of these in person, I can assure you, the oil canning is definitely real, rivets and all.  Probably has something to do with the "standing seam" nature of the joinery...

I almost expected this, because I have a string of FNS cars that need to be built.  So next will be the PRR X31 round top box car?
Though I have these kits, I will order some Fox Valley cars as well.  Just impossible to resist  ;D

Have you seen that they will have FVM wheels and MTL body mounted couplers?  N scale is getting better every day.

Already reserved the full MR&T boxcar set at Chuck's.  The AM and V&O cars and locos intrigue me - they were two of my inspiration layouts growing up.

The V&O series in RMC really changed the way I looked at model railroading. That said the schemes are too new for me. :P

This is the V&O that I know:

Wagontops for me. Have the Fine N scale kit. Like them. Plastic is nice also.

I'll admit it, I'll be getting a V&O GEVO.  I even really like the cars too, but can't think of any logical reason for a unit train of 'em would ever touch the KCS unless somehow they found a way to remove the sulfur from Eastern coal and started shipping it to Texas.

Oh, I forgot to add that Tony Koester's and Allen McClelland's work (the AM and V&O, respectively) placed such an impression on me while I was growing up in the 1980s that I would love to have a piece of these roads' rolling stock on my layout.  These modelers, to me, did such a fantastic job of making such plausible freelanced lines that they "felt" real to me.  I'm certain many other modelers probably felt the same way, and, despite these FVM cars and locos being "fantasy," they're light years from Happy Birthday boxcars.  If the era is appropriate for my layout, I would proudly run them, right along with my Laurel Valley hoppers.  :)

I don't model B & O but will order one of each.  Excellent offering.

I'm SO in for a B&O wagontop.  Which scheme would be correct for 1956?  The original, obviously...  But what about the Great States scheme?

Dave,
Here is the break down on original paint dates for the scheme as far as I know.

B&O Original (Flat Door) - 90301,2,3: Late 1937
B&O 13 Great States - 90304,5,6: Mid 1945-1946
B&O Late Billboard - 90307,8,9: 1962 on in various forms.
C-16 Railway Express - 90310,11,12: Converted 1941 thru 1945. Returned to gerneral service 1947.

Wagontops were built starting in 1936 as M15 during a rebuild program. These would also work for the M15 wagontops. The M-53's were built on all new on Duryea frames starting in 1937. The frame would be the primary spotting difference.

I only have one resin completed and 2-3-4 more waiting. So I'll take about 3 of these maybe more.
