Bluford hopper trucks

I'm thinking that they use Athearn trucks given the McHenry's on the cars, but I just need to confirm that before I order some FVM's for them. Can someone confirm this?

Are you referring to the new 70-ton hoppers?

I just opened up one of the new CP hoppers and it looks like a body-mounted Accumate.

The wheels look like brown MT's low-pros.

My guess was that the trucks are very similar to Atlas 50-ton trucks, or maybe the same.
I tried to put FVM wheels in my first car but they were sitting a bit tight, so I turned back to the original wheels.

Just finished the temp artwork for 7 new runs so we'll have the announcement up in a couple of days.  BTW, there's more Canadian stuff coming...

Any chance of selling these cars without the trucks and couplers so ,odelers can add their own and not incur an inventory of trucks and couplers?

I have the 70-ton offset side hoppers, but they have the ubiquitous (AAR type Y, a.k.a. Bettendorf) 50-ton trucks.
What might be a better substitute truck? I suspect that the correct truck is not available in N scale.

Makes little sense to do that since the overwhelming majority of the purchasers will simply put the cars on the track without modification.  If you sell models without trucks/couplers, you'd satisfy the diehards but the sales would tank.

The Atlas trucks and wheels are high quality. The Accumate couplers are body mounted. If you prefer Micro-Trains couplers, you could open the coupler box and install MT 1015 coupler shanks, for example, very easily, and replace the existing lid and screw. I plan on keeping mine as delivered even though I run and prefer Micro-Trains.
