Joe (Shipsure), please take pictures and share them here!  :-)

One of the guys asked that someone take photos of the smokebox end of the O scale fantasy "GS-9" #4489:

Hi, Ed,

We don't have any idea for sure on the SP "GS9", but maybe someone that was at the SP 2010 Historical Convention and who
talked to the owner of the model, can fill us in.   :-)

Three videos from layout tours were posted to the X2011 West Facebook web page (HO, unfortunately, but still well worth seeing):

http://www.facebook.com/x2011west

- SP Daylight running on Sacramento Model RR Historical Society
- Sacramento area on the SP/WP-themed Sacramento Model RR Historical Society HO club layout
- SP Daylight running on the private Rocklin Subdivision layout

Anyone can see the above videos, you don't have to be a Facebook member.

(You should use a current level of browser - I know I had some troubles with some Facebook script playing movies on an old out-of-date Internet Explorer 6, but current levels of Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome worked just fine :-) ).

From the table photos it looks like it's O scale. Nice model, but frustrating when presented on an N scale list.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Good news, Sirenwerks, here are N scale models that were on the display table and in the contest at the 2010 SP Convention:

We were able to add 5 more final photos reported from the 2010 SP Historical Society Convention.

http://www.facebook.com/x2011west

They are of Southern Pacific live steam at the Sacramento Valley Live Steamers, who were running for
the SP Convention attendees on 10/2/10.  One cool sample:

Dig that live steam Cab-Forward!!

The Sacramento Valley Live Steamers ( http://www.svls.org/  ) will be open during the NMRA National
Convention "X2011 West" - July 3-9, 2011.   You can see many years of photos from SVLS at:
http://yungling.smugmug.com/Live-Steam/SVLS and http://www.svls.org/Meet_Photos.htm

Photo by Evan Werkema.  Thx, Evan, for sharing these photos with us (and for your
many years of rail photo contributions in many places) :-)

Hope all of you have enjoyed our attempts to keep you updated on some major model railroad activities,
live, as they happen.   We'll be doing the same for you at NMRA Nationals 2011 "X2011 West" in Sacramento.

And of course, I'll be doing whatever I can to orchestrate N-scale specific coverage :-) .

John: Were the Trainmasters your entry? I think I see your name on the paper in front of them. Nicely done, whoever they belong to.

Hi, Blazeman,

If the N scale Trainmaster that you were asking about is this one:

Yes, that was my 'entry' in the display-only category :-) .

Thx for the kind words.
