Tinkered around with my Potomac project, otherwise, not much...

Gotta work on the boiler, smoke box and cab next...

Not much for me either...made some more progress on these though, with the handrails and steps etc now painted white - now 99% done.

Lets see, gotta find a couple of beacons in the stash, paint the couplers and the grills... and they should be done and officially off the work bench.

Painted a bachman 65' PRR combine Pulman green in preperation for lettering for NP.

BTW, anyone got NP passenger car decals they want to part with?

When these came out I played with mine, built a new tender. And repowered it with a gearhead motor. Then I put it up on a shelf...

Took it down and finished this week:

This week I disassembled my Atlas C-420 and began work on it to get a little closer to what I want.  I replaced the wheels with NWSL low profile wheels for operation on Code 40 track, and changed out the stock couplers for Micro-Trains #1015s.  I also drilled the holes in the nose for the ditch lights and mounted the light housings:

If you really want to go all out... add the box on the sill for the solid 'rope' flange lubricator on both sides to 7002, she was the test unit for this feature (NS opted for it too on its demo order of standard cab SD70s)

It's right in front of the air tank

I cobbled together various parts from the XIH tooling test shots, painted them added them to one of the paint/print samples to get an idea of what the final product will look like.

I made a pair of transition tracks to connect T Gauge flex and roadbed track. Actually, it's such a simple little thing it was hardly worth posting. But it's all I've accomplished in the last two weeks.

How about some shots of my previous layout?  N scale PRR Northern Division in 1956.  The layout lasted from 2002 to 2006 and was a 36" x 80" door.  It was stripped bare of all useable material to be used in my current layout.  The Juniata Division rests on the very same table legs that once supported this layout.  Based on the Atlas "Scenicked and Relaxed."

What happened here?

That is starting to look better.

There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away
