Good thing we shot the WM freight house when we did!  What a shame it couldn't be saved and repurposed.  It would have made a great stall market...   Mmmm... Produce, cheese, sammiches... beers...  Oh well...

A few years ago I floated the idea of building the PRR Frederick Branch west of York as modules. For the one mile from the Codorus Creek westward, the PRR's Frederick Branch and the WM shared a gauntlet between industries.

i have 3 other stations (long green, woodbrook, and another i can't remember) along the Ma and Pa... and Bel Air is already compete and in service @ shows.

i was figuring 2 foot n trak modules and then sprinkel them throughout the layout to give it a local flavor. pictures are always the problem.  the ma and pa has their histarical group... i just havent done the research.  been busy doing scenery in the basement (working on that wow factor i want...  and getting away from "payne's plywood plains" or "the triple P" as i use to call it)

Jerry's information, as always... is helpful.  one could easily see how a tenth of a mile could be modeled.

putting together standards is easy enough.. we did it with one-trak... then all you do is have the module building session... figure out the leg system ya wanna use... agree on the wiring standard... and then get er done.

the problem as always, is getting people involved.  and of course, jerry is talking about york proper... and i know there are a few out there who would be intersted in a MA & PA theme.

Jerry's idea is wonderful.. and i would be in for section 13.1 (station) in some capacity if it ever came to fruition.

Ed, i know you have interest in the MA & PA... and i know Lee does as well.

it is not out of the realm of possiblity... and one trak would be more proto then red/yellow/green...  there is a meeting coming up next week...  we can toss the idea around.. there might be some momentum to be gained there...  (not trying to hijack the thread)... that york website is great!

I have a bunch of vintage PRR photos... I'll have to dig.

I know I have three taken from the top of the coal tower, looking each direction. Also a few of the enginehouse.

There was someone in the club who was into MA&PA stuff too. Is he still active? I know he did a 2' module of Bel Air.

I know he ALSO, years ago, did a Towson module that's now at the MA&PA Museum. I'd love to see that back in service (since it's my hood now).

I've also thought that the branch west from York would be a fun layout too. It's still in contention.

i have his 2 foot Bel Air preserved (and able to be used)

i know him pretty well, i could pursuade him to assist in scenery and rivet counting as a resource if we ever had a planning session... he lives about 3 minutes from Kleins...  anyway..  next time you come over, remind me to show you the "towson" signage he gave me (was originally to be used for that module you are speaking of), i have it... hanging in my basement.

I'd be in to do a diorama around Rocks.  Of course, you can't do Bel Air without having the ROW passing the edge of the cemetery...   I worked there back in 92-93 selling crypts!
