So this thread pops up, and I start wondering if these are still in service . . . an one rolls by my office buildin gon a CSX through freight!
I'd be willing to bet the HO'ers are gonna be paying a pretty penny for these.
How funny is it that we'd get that weirdo 40' gon, but not these?
I spoke to a couple of reps at Springfield and told them we need these in N scale too. They were very receptive to the suggestion. Everyone who wants these should shoot them an email and do the same.

(the even made a conrail one).
I wasn;t too impressed with the CVerti-pacs but the PS4000's are very nice cars.
I know everyone has dogged them here because of their inferiority to a car that doesn't exist yet

I have overall been highly unimpressed with Exactrail, but the 4000's are INCREDIBLE cars. I know everyone has dogged them here because of their inferiority to a car that doesn't exist yet, but they're nice in my book. I wanted one of the SP PCF cars but no luck, and I'd yet to see any of the other boxcars or 5161's in person until an ops session this evening. The 5161's are Trainman quality, but the boxcars were pretty nice and I'll probably eventually get one or two even though I've said I'm not buying any more boxcars, especially expensive ones.Basically, if you're not peddlling modern tank cars, gons, or spine cars, I'm out. Better be a freaking awesome car for me to consider it otherwise.
