Chris,

You know I never looked at the aerial view only birds eye. I don't think thats it but if you scroll up the picture and follow the track I think that it may be this though.

I can see why they used it now. The track that this little "critter" is on is severed from any connection to the outside world.

Is it this little spec right of the word Los Angeles
http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=33.7256511963458~-118.27430315315723&lvl=19&sty=h

No, I think it's the other spec you'll see toward the other (top) end of the building.

Here's a bird's eye view of the exact location of the photos. Oddly, the critter is not to be found in any of these views, though.

Well, OK, so yesterday on the drive home from work I decided I could take an evening off from getting ready for the open house, and knock together an entry for the challenge. I finished it late last night, and this evening took some quick photos. It's a bit more beat up than the prototype, but that tends to happen with my models.

Here is a progress shot of the sub floor with working hinges via GMM stanchions and wire , and the re-bolstered truck with reduced flanges .

Most of the Bing Birds Eye views are actually pretty dated, from the late 90s early 2000s, seeing as it still shows SW1s and multiple SD45HHs in East Deerfield. The images in LA were probably taken before they came in possession of the "thing."

Well since no one can seem to keep it in their pants until Sunday, I post a progress shot too.

Just some touchup, weathering and a trip Michaels to find some fine chord for the chain.

As you can see, I kept the bolster.  We'll see if it's still their Sunday.

Cripe.  I'm up to my eyeballs this weekend...  I doubt I'll get one done in time for Sunday...  But I feel compelled.  I've got some bits and pieces laid out for it, but we're traveling tomorrow night and Saturday...

These look way cool.

Why have a time limit at all . Just do 'em and show progress if you want , and the final result when finished .
