So the winner is......

Con-cor.

It's posted on MTs site that they are using CC models.

Interesting ... most "smooth side" cars with 6 wheel trucks are actually Heavyweights that have been "modernized". What prototype are they trying to represent with these?

(Where's Shipsure?)

So is the car MT is using a baggage with six wheel trucks for?

(lemme guess, they're using older heavyweight style six wheelers)

All but.

Which still leaves the question for the coach/sleeper.

Doh, this was an embarrasing moment.  Upon further reviewing the Walther's artwork, I wasn't even close, should have stuck with the first instinct.    :-[

Re: con-cor...

I would have definitely ordered the set and the add-on if they had been Walthers or Kato or IMRC cars.

I would have even taken it with the CC baggage car...  But skirts???

Pass!

I have to agree, thought the Walthers sleepers would be used.  From MTL's standpoint, it's good that both sets are pre-order so they won't get hurt by over-producing.

Are you paying attention?  CC baggage car does not have skirts...  I mean, Jason even posted a photo for you!  :P

Seeing as how the CC cars don't have seams in the roof, I'm wondering how they ended up in the MTL artwork?

Skibbe - that's what I said - the cars have skirts - except the baggage car - so yeah, I'd take the baggage car from ConCor - no problem. But not the others with skirts...

I'd even take them if they had jeans - but no skirts!

I had no idea that train was that long - how do they afford to keep that operation going?

^ Jaime, you should check it out when it's in town in November.  They park it just under the Central Road bridge on the Milwaukee West line.

Some friggin' kids graffiti'ed it last year the day before it left town.   >:(
