what is the "brand" name of this sand?
no Hobby Lobby here in this area
only Michael's and AC Moore which do not seem the carry this kind of sand
which leaves amazon, but not sure it is the same size granules which they offer
a brand name would be helpful
thanks so much
your work with this is like all the rest ... super!
sincerely

It's this stuff...  You can select black.

I don't think you can get it from Amazon, but you can probably mail-order from Hobby Lobby.

I've bought it at Michael's in the past. I mix it in my ballast to give a little more variety.

Will probably end up using some in my coal loads when the time comes.

And mine came from Michaels. I don't think Hobby Lobby exists in my blue state.

There's one in Columbia on Snowden, across from Wegmans.

You lose points on your grout card for using sand, Ed.

thanks Dave F
they do not seem to have it here in the Philly area.
but then that does not surprise me
i guess i could find it on their online store
but was trying to save shipping costs
which are more than the cost of the product
oh well....
ordered from hobby lobby online and added a
package of green and brown so as to make the shipping
more appetizing
will hopefully find a use for those colors in scenicking
thanks again
Gary

There's one in Laurel too, not far from the BWP.

Window sashes:  Polyscale Oxide Red
Roof:  Testors Flat Black spray paint with a wash of Polyscale Grimy Black (roof was covered with masking tape to simulate tar paper)
