I've been an "insider" in another hobby of mine, Radio Control Car Racing. I just signed a Non Disclosure Agreement with a manufacture for help with a project they are working on. In 15 years of working with RC companies, that is the first contract I have had to sign, most were happy with a friendly, "Keep this under your hat." Most people didn't know how involved I was with the industry, except for a few close friends who saw proto types setting on my workbench on in the paint booth.
I'm sure there are many in the Model Railroad industry that are in the same situation. They are just very good at keeping their mouth shut, so good that you don't know they are even involved.
I wish FVM well with this project and I think/hope many will be suprised and have to eat their words. The existing FVM products do well with the buying public and that is what matters.
