We'll start the new year with the last of the New Orleans photos.

NORTA Perley Thomas 907 on the Riverside line passing under one wing of the International Trade Mart. The track on the left is the NOPB.


NORTA 931 heads down the levee towards Jackson Square on the Riverside Line. At one time, the SP had a small yard here serving Jackson Brewing Co.


Two Perley Thomas cars pass at the junction of the Riverside and Canal Street lines.


NORTA 954 swings from the Riverside Line onto the Canal Street Line in front of Harrah's Casino at the foot of Canal.


Next week, when Brooklyn, NY, still had streetcars.

More snowy scenes from the past...

The late, lamented Owings Mills depot on the WM.  About 1988/89 IIRC.  It was torched then torn down by Chessie the Knife a few years later.


At Keystone viaduct.  East bound train on the former B&O crosses under the WM's Keystone Viaduct last February.


Elkins depot, February 2007.  Before the tourist railroad restored tracks to the platform.

Good eye, pay attention to the head light in the upper right corner.  This was one of those moments
when all heck broke out trackside.

The front wheels of the front trucks of the CSX 4406 look like they are off the rail, wide gauge perhaps? See them tiliting?
